In the heart of Mosonmagyaróvár, Tokasz Group’s new headquarters is taking shape in a building that is almost a hundred years old. For us, this project is about much more than simply moving into a new office. We want to preserve the values and character of the historic building while creating a place that truly reflects who we are and can continue to evolve with us for many years to come.
From the Past to the Future
The locally protected building at 21 Szent István király Street has been part of the Mosonmagyaróvár cityscape for almost a century.
According to surviving archival documents, Hermann Lucz applied for permission to build the house in 1931 and later lived there with his wife, Frida Antoni, for many decades. We were able to learn more about the history of the house and its former residents with the help of archivist Balázs Beregszászi, for which we are very grateful.
The history of the building and the background to its renovation were also recently covered in detail by Kisalföld.
And this is where we take the story forward.
We want to give this house a new lease of life without losing what makes it special. Its character and its place in the cityscape will remain, while the building itself will gain a new function and modern technical solutions.
Now, the building’s next chapter begins.
A Headquarters Built for the Long Term
Tokasz Group has changed enormously since 2002. New business areas, new projects and new challenges have emerged, and in recent years property development has become an increasingly important part of what we do.
At a certain point, it became clear that our headquarters also needed to keep pace with this development.
That is why, for us, this is much more than simply moving offices. We are creating a place designed not just for the next few years, but for the long term.
With nearly 380 m² of net floor area, our new office building will provide space for focused work, collaborative thinking and welcoming our partners. Just as importantly, we want it to be a place where our colleagues genuinely enjoy spending their working day.
Because we believe a workplace is about more than desks, offices and meeting rooms. It should feel good to arrive in the morning, make collaboration easy, and provide spaces where a great idea can emerge over a simple cup of coffee.

When Plans Slowly Become Reality
From the very beginning, one of the biggest questions was how to approach a nearly hundred-year-old building in a way that preserves its values while transforming it into a genuinely functional, contemporary office.
The architectural plans are being developed by Márton Schopf and SM Építész Kft., while the interior design concept is the work of Mónika Szöke and Normaform Kreatív Kft.
Together, we have spent a great deal of time considering how the character of the historic building can be combined with everything we need from a modern workplace. We do not want to erase its past, nor do we want to turn it into a museum. Our aim is to create a building where old and new can coexist naturally.
The main building will be completely renovated and given a modern office function, while the courtyard will also be redesigned. At a later stage, the former workshop building connected to the property will also be renovated, with a green roof planned for the structure. Energy efficiency is another important consideration, which is why the building is being designed with a solar power system, heat pump and energy storage solution.
When it comes to the interiors, we are not interested in simply following current trends. What matters much more to us is creating something functional, timeless and welcoming – a place that will still feel good to use many years from now.

Tokasz Group Continues to Grow
We see our future as a stable, continuously developing and diversified group of companies.
We want to grow, but not at any cost and not simply for the sake of growth. What matters far more is preserving the principles that have guided us throughout the past two decades: long-term thinking, reliable partnerships, openness to new opportunities and a strong connection to the community and environment in which we operate.
The same applies to our own team. We want to build a company where people enjoy working, where they have opportunities to develop, and where our colleagues can actively take part in shaping the future of Tokasz Group.
Our new headquarters will provide the space for exactly that.
This is where our new projects will begin, where we will welcome our partners, and where we will work, think and develop ideas together. Over time, we want this place to truly become the home of Tokasz Group.
More Than an Office Building
There is something special about seeing a nearly hundred-year-old house take on an entirely new role.
Rather than demolishing it to make way for something new, we are preserving what is valuable and adding what is needed for the present and the future. Perhaps that is also why this project feels so personal to us.
For more than twenty years, the story of Tokasz Group has also been one of continuous renewal: we have always built on what was already there while having the courage to move into new areas.
Now we are doing the same with this house.
“For me, this building is first and foremost about the future. It represents a new chapter in the life of Tokasz Group. We want to continue developing while preserving the values that have always been important to us. We are thinking long term – both for the company and for the building.”
Tamás Molnár, Founder of Tokasz Group
When we look back on this project decades from now, we hope we will be able to say more than simply that we renovated a beautiful historic building.
We hope we will also be able to say that we preserved a piece of Mosonmagyaróvár’s past while creating a place that represents the next decades of Tokasz Group.

More than an office building. The next chapter of Tokasz Group.
